Tendrils - Tech Workers Organizing in the End Times
"If ten years ago the proposition of leading tech workers into collective action sounded preposterous in most of the world, today it is regarded not only as a possibility, but as a necessity. Organized tech workers, given their position, are the one of the best point of leverage against the growing power of tech oligarchs. We believe in the potential for change represented by workers who today waste their labor building dreadful and harmful technology.
The tech industry must be cleansed from within.
With this zine, we want to give space to the many people who have committed their time and their energy to fuel the Tech Workers Movement. While some of us make headlines every few months, the outside world still struggles to imagine what a tech labor organizer looks like, how they think, what they want, and why they do what they do.
Tech workers are not tech bros, and we want everybody to know."

This is the opening of Tendrils. Tendrils is TWC Global’s first zine, and it is launching today, after a pre-launch at the Circuit Breakers conference in NY and the Tech Workers Conference in Berlin.
We realized it’s time for tech workers to develop their own identity beyond their direct working conditions, an approach that proved complicated due to the complexity and fragmentation of the tech sector across the world. Commonality must be found beyond what our bosses take from us during working hours.
The result is a zine bringing together stories of tech workers from all over the world, using their skills for what they believe is Good and True. From sending money to Palestine, bypassing financial blockades, to building the infrastructure and the digital sovereignty of a mass movement in Brazil.
We invite you to read, print, circulate, and promote our zine in your local chapters and bring it to other tech workers’ spaces. If what you have read motivates you, we suggest you join Tech Workers Coalition to find your path through organizing in the End Times.
